Chapter 64 - The weak girl

There was no way she would be here with them; she was powerful. She wouldn't be trapped in a place like this. She wasn't someone to fall for such a trap and she was an acquaintance of the land acting Overseer. She was also commissioned for breaking a curse. She wouldn't be…

"Then why is she here?"

There was a girl with white hair and red eyes, looking exactly like Aurora and acting exactly like her. Yet, her outfit was different. It was buttoned from her neck to her belly, a black outfit showing the clear color of her hair with circles in red to highlight her eyes. Her body features were gently shaped as the outfit was tight on her skin. Her right foot tapped the ground nervously… Or was she acting that way?

Her eyebrows pulled up together while her eyes looked around, moving repeatedly to all sides, checking everything. Vertical wrinkles appeared between her eyebrows and her fists clenched near to her heart. She seemed scared and dead worried, almost cute.

Pecker checked where Stephan goggled for minutes; she seemed so cute in his eyes and beautiful, also a girlfriend material. "Hoooo! Is she someone you know? Or are you simply infatuated with her? An advice from me, don't believe whatever you see. Also, don't show her she has an effect on you so erase that red color from your face," he rested his elbow on his shoulder. "You see. I was like that at first. They always sent a cute girl down here and it was always a newbie like you that gets killed first."

"Have you seen her before?" Stephan had to calm himself down. Indeed, with an outfit like that and a cute show she was displaying around, no one would be able to leave her alone.

"I think numerous times. I can't really count them. The first time I saw her was around… I think a week ago. You see, for us who were pushed into countless games, it feels like a whole year. It must have been wrong for me to assume she was here a year ago but still, I feel I saw her somewhere," Pecker rubbed his chin thinking. He had the feeling she was familiar to him but he couldn't remember where he saw her for the first time. "Anyway, she must have killed a bunch already. There is always a criminal amongst us and in most games, the criminal kills a lot."

"So what will happen now?"

Three of the prisoners present in the hole approached Aurora. Stephan expected her to play them out and punch the hell out of them but she acted weakly. She shrank into a ball and pouted asking them to leave her away but they didn't want to. "What is she doing?"

"She is probably creating a fake persona. Those criminals, you can't believe anything they do or say."

"And what makes you trustworthy? You approached me with a goal in mind, right? Here, I would be willing to trust her rather than stay with you and be on guard all the time against a backstab," Stephan smirked. "I prefer to see what she is. Don't follow me!"

He was confident it was her. Soprana said she was a crazy woman and it looked like it. She was acting like a weak girl in front of a bunch of prisoners. Yet, if she wanted, she could have killed them in a few minutes. One of the prisoners grabbed her hand and pulled her to him.

"Don't expect us to sit aside as you dress like this! If you stick to me," the man licked his lips. "I can protect and please you. Aren't you a beautiful chick? Weren't you looking for attention with all the cuteness on display?"

There were two choices; to stand aside and let the whole episode pass, she wouldn't let herself be put in a bad situation, or go to her help and be beat up because the man looked stronger with his big muscles. He wanted to ask her a multitude of questions but with the actual situation, it was impossible he would get a genuine answer from her. She was a crazy woman and she wouldn't be called like that for nothing. He tried to remember everything Soprana said without realizing it. Crazy women would always do the unexpected.

In the end, he had to go with the second option. His policy wasn't to let him involve himself in bad situations; if there was a situation where he would meet his end, he promised himself he would always escape from it. He would never put himself in harm's way. Yet, he had so many questions and he didn't want her to disappear without answering him. She might be the one who pulled him into all this. She promised she would be helping him become stronger but she was pulling him into meaningless situations.

"Hey! What are you doing?" Stephan grabbed the hand of the man and using all his strength, he pushed him away. He glanced back at Aurora who had tears in her eyes and a pitiful expression. "I thought you were strong enough to punch them in the face."

"I don't know what you are talking about, do you want to bully me too? I can't stand you all," she screamed and the ground started shaking. But the shaking stopped immediately as a hole opened under them. Stephan and Aurora fell down in the same hole and landed in a strange place. As soon as the light switched on showing a huge race terrain, Aurora hugged Stephan. "Don't leave me! I am scared. I don't know why they are keeping me here."

She buried her face in his chest and her breasts gently brushed against his body. He turned red. "What are you doing? I told you, if you are flirting with me, I am not interested in older women. You must already be an old hag."

"Listen! I am just a weak girl for this whole race. You said you wanted me to help, this is my way of help," she raised her head, showing the craziest expression he could ever imagine. She showed a bloodthirsty remorseless face. Her head tilted to the left, all twisted. "Survive this race, dear disciple! And don't forget to protect me. I am just a weak girl after all, given the number zero."
