Walking past the lounge, I heard Ophie's voice in the bedroom, singing along to her favorite nursery rhymes. A feeling of warmth enveloped my heart immediately, and I pulled open the door. As soon as she heard the door open, she turned to face me. Then I teared up immediately.
Seeing her face for the first time in a long time made me happy.
"Mama!" Ophie said, stretching out her hands.
Then I rushed to embrace her. I couldn't believe it, that after what seemed like forever, I was holding my daughter again. This was real and not some sort of dream, Ophie Miller in flesh and blood in my arms.
"I missed you so much my baby," I said, kissing her forehead.
"Where is Daddy?" She asked, with a smile on her face.
