Walking out of the restaurant in company of the men, I kept turning back to know if I would see Lauren. I saw her when we were almost at the door, she boarded a boat and headed for the other side of the lake. The fact she was in danger was all I could think of. I didn't want to hear she was dead the next time I called. But since she insisted on going, maybe she has a reason.
The drive home was very quiet. I could literally feel the bad energy the anger of Mikhail and Bailey's man gave off. I felt suffocated by it, and I couldn't wait to go home. If I was a child, I bet they'd bend me down and give me a very good ass whoop for putting their lives in danger.
