A few minutes later, Bailey and her men arrived at the scene. Nothing had happened to them thankfully, the Payson's took a long time deciding on things to carry, especially for the fact their son had an allergy. So, after a long argument, Bailey granted them one more extra luggage space.
After checking in on Miles, and I, plus all the explanations, we headed to the airport.
"I really hope this will be over soon, and we'll have Ophie back once more," I said in a low tone, holding onto Miles.
"I'm sure it'll be," he replied, patting my head gently.
Closing my eyes for a moment, I decided to sleep. I was tired from all the quarrel, and I barely got enough sleep because of the recent happenings. Also, the way Miles patted my hair gently made me feel safe, and warm, inviting sleep to my eyes. Plus I was tired from all the waiting too. The boarding point was only about a thirty minutes drive from our place, but we spent almost an hour stopping and waiting.
