Hearing no further questions, Joshua looked to his right and vaguely saw Iris holding a piece of meat, blowing on it and eating it slowly. Even when eating she was eating, he couldn't help to find that there was something sexy about it! It was difficult for Joshua to describe her; she had a cute face, yet she had that sexy and beautiful vibe at the same time. Her eyes were golden, when she looked at you it was as if they were burning, she had beautiful lips... When eating, the beef had stained the lipstick on her lips and Joshua couldn't stop looking at those sultry red lips ... When Joshua noticed where his gaze lingered, he quickly averted his eyes. Damn it, she was too dangerous for him.
To avoid his heart starting to want what it shouldn't, Joshua quickly decided to leave. Just as he was about to say goodbye, he was interrupted.
"Already going back?" asked Iris suddenly, she didn't know why she didn't want him to go, if she could, she wanted him to sit right beside her and accompany her to eat every day... She felt really at peace with him around.
"Well, I still have to work" Joshua wanted to leave as fast as possible, first because he was still working but the main reason was that he really didn't want to stay beside Iris, she was dangerous... He had always had good self-control, but being beside this woman, his mind couldn't help to wonder where it shouldn't.
"Looking, forward, to our next meeting!!" Iris smiled, looking at Joshua's ears slightly red as he quickly retreated back.
As he left, Joshua was still a little confused because he found himself also looking forward to meeting the woman again, even though he knew she was dangerous; he knew he shouldn't get close to her...

"Damn! Iris, did you really leave the nun temple? You can even flirt when we are around? Look at how the young man ran away; his soul was lost! You really are a bad girl!"
As soon as the waiter left, the fire of gossip in Luke's heart burned completely unchecked. Iris just glanced at him without saying a word.
"Look at that, he did not get back to you after that night? Oh, that's rare." David smirked, because who in the whole city would pass up an opportunity like that? Iris was the woman almost every single man in town wanted.
"But doesn't it make things more interesting if he's hard to get? Wouldn't it be more exciting to flirt?" Iris smiled and looked unabashedly at her friends.
"Yes, it's high time for you to get laid! And I am sure this young man would put you on cloud nine." Luke liked her current frame of mind; he was a playboy himself and did not like Iris' nun-like life. And even though the others did not know that Iris and her supposed boyfriend Henry were just friends and not engaged, as other people might think, her friends all knew the truth and how long Iris had been single. So it was high time for her to find a boyfriend and live a romantic love story.
The end of Iris' eyes lifted slightly, and she gave Luke a warning look, "Shut up." The latter laughed twice taking a sip of his wine still smiling.
"Now seriously, I have a huge problem I need to handle."
"You? Iris Harper? What kind of problem can't you handle?"
"I have to get married," Iris says, eating her food as if she's not telling her friends the most shocking news they ever heard.
"Say that again... You NEED to get married???"
"Not that I need to, but I have to get married and fast!"
"Wait a minute, you do know you can't get married alone, right? and most importantly you need to be in love!" Luke joked, finding the situation unbelievable. Who would have thought that Iris would find herself in such a situation one day? She had always regarded romance as something trivial.
Iris rolled her eyes and felt helpless, "Well, it's Grandpa. He made me promise that I had to get married before I turned 28 because he was afraid, I would be lonely when he was gone. Now that Grandpa is dead, I must keep that promise, so he could rest in peace... And for information, you don't necessarily need to love someone to marry!"
"But you'll be 28 in three months!" Sandra knew how important Iris' grandfather was to her and how hard she had worked just to make him proud of her. She was sure Iris would do anything to fulfill her grandfather's wish! She only hoped she won't do something stupid and marry the first man she found!
"I know I looked around, but no one could do the job, the men are more after my money or too afraid of me... No one had anything great to offer..."
"Yes... of course, the men around you are not the best choice, most of them are jerks and profiteers... What about your supposed fiancée?"
"Henry is not the best choice for Iris!! He is my brother, but sometimes he gives me the creeps!!"
"Henry and I will not make a good couple. We are too competitive and authoritarian, plus I don't feel anything when I look at him... No offense," Iris calmly explained, as if she were talking about a trivial topic. Her distant manner showed her friends that she really was not interested in the guy...
"And what about the young man you have your eye on? I can clearly see that you are interested in the way your eyes light up when you look at him..." inquired Sandra boldly.
"Yes, yes, besides, he seemed not interested in whatever you are and it's clear that he does not know anything about the business world and is having a hard time making money for himself... How about you help him and make him your little husband, that way you could help each other..." Luke added, Iris had everything anyway, all she needed was someone who was devoted to her and took really good care of her.
When Iris heard her friend's suggestion, her interest was piqued. She had not seen the young man like this before, sure she seemed to be interested in him and it was indeed true that he had something that made her feel a little more alive. She found herself in a serene atmosphere when she was talking to him. Was it really a special feeling for him? It had been so long she had loved, someone, that she had forgotten how to interpret those signs her body had given her!
At first, she thought, it was just her body reacting because to the lack of sex in her life, but now it seemed that there was more to what she felt, and she was ready to discover where those beautiful feelings would lead her. Would she end up in love? Will her life be more colorful? She was eager to see that!!
Iris was the owner of Harper's Group, one of the largest companies in the country, with countless industries and branches throughout the country. She was someone who was busy year-round and had little time to enjoy herself. At home, she was still alone and had no one to share her burden or joy with each day. Every day she found herself living the same routine, a life with no sweetness at all. In the beginning, she still had her grandfather, but now he was gone. At first, she thought that being alone was not a problem, in her world, it was the best way to protect herself, but she didn't know why she was so frustrated on those days, especially when she thought about Joshua.
Maybe her friends' advice was a good option. Taking the little man in and making him her family might be a good thing. But thinking about it again, she sighed, remembering how little interest the man seemed to have in her, it would be a big challenge to get the man!
But she was not the kind to run away from difficult situations. Besides, she started to think that maybe Joshua really was the man she was meant to be with; after all, it was rare that she was interested in a man that much and even rarer that she kept meeting someone in such a short time! Maybe it was fate.
