Chapter 3 - Where Am I?

I woke up in the black abyss that I had found myself to be in. I sat up not sure what time it was but since I had to guess I'd say around two in the morning. I laid back down on what was supposed to be my bed but it seemed that my bed had become the ground. I sighed and got up wondering what I had done before I fell asleep last night and why I was sleeping on the ground. I walked a little ways trying to find where I was but I couldn't quite tell. My feet started becoming sore and tender but I wasn't sure why, I had my slippers on before I fell asleep hadn't I? I kept walking but wherever I was seemed to never end no matter how far I'd gone. I'd walked for about another three minutes before I hit something. I had ran into a tall object which felt rough on my skin. I wasn't sure what it was so I had decided to sit down and wait until the sun came up. I'd ended up falling asleep again but this time when I woke up I could actually see what I was sitting next to. A tree? I took a glimpse around soon to find out that I was in a forest. I screamed knowing that I was lost and that I didn't know how to get back to my home. I waited a while but no one came to me. I didn't hear a sound or anything it was just silence. I didn't know what to do, I had no food or water and it seemed like it was near to winter from how cold it was. I shook my head and told myself that I would be alright so I walked for what seemed like a couple miles. I started getting hungry so I went and searched for some berries. I had found a bush which had something on it but I wasn't familiar with what it was. It was red and looked really juicy so I put it in my mouth. It tasted delicious! I looked at the weed next to where I was. They were thicker then I had ever imagined a weed to be so I took a couple handful's and weaved a basket to hold the berries. I grabbed all the berries I could and put them in the basket and went to find a river so I could wash them. I soon found a little creek that I could wash the berries in. I set the basket down and washed each individual berry until I was finished. I then dried the berries off with my sleeve and set them back in the basket. I washed off my face and hands and decided I'd sleep by the creek tonight.
