Yelena and Andie stopped as soon as they confirmed that they were the only one's in the hallway. She turned around and met eyes with the Duke.
"Was what you said true?" Nathan asked as soon as she faced him.
Yelena was silent and she sighed.
"I indeed tried it." She admitted. "However, no need to worry, I received help when I tried it. I know, you know that she is trusted when it comes to this." She added.
"What are you trying to do, Yelena?" Nathan couldn't help but ask another question. He's never really been able to read Yelena fully.
"Magicians, Nobles and the Holy Temple are becoming distant from each other. Even ever since the arrival of the lady of the lake, it's become even more and more distant. Especially when Avery chose to be in the tower when she could pass as a Queen. Everyone wants to covet her and someone has to step up and stop it." She explained. Although this isn't really the full story of why she is doing this.
