''Group chat?'' Lucia sat up on the bed and looked at Alison with a suspicious gaze. ''Alison, you don't chat in your company group because they are just a bunch of gossips. That's what you said!''
Alison chuckled awkwardly saying. 'That's true but once a while I just take part in discussions when their meaningful. I just moved to a different department, right? I need to learn so I've being looking at the work related stuff that is posted in the group chat. It's nothing serious. What about you?'' Alison stood up and changed the conversation.
''This is becoming your regular place. I wonder if you really bought this apartment for me or you bought it so that you have somewhere to go when you are tired of your big mansion.'' Alison said.
''Both!'' Lucia said and chuckled. She got down from the bed and went to pick the dryer. ''Let me dry you hair. Afterwards, you dry mine!''
''Cool!''
Meanwhile, back at the penthouse, Walden was looking at the phone with a strange gaze. Alison had left him on read and logged out. He wasn't that used to this messaging stuff and she was the first person he had attempted sending a message to but she left him on read.
After waiting for a while, Walden stood up and pouted his lips and went to his room.
…..
''Hey, Walden…'' Alison called when she came out of the elevator and saw Walden going out.
''You left me on read!'' Walden turned and said to Alison with a frown.
Looking at him acting like a child, Alison couldn't help but laugh.
''Are you laughing?'' Walden asked.
''No, sorry. You just look cute that's why. I didn't do that intentionally. My best friend came over and…''
''You said you wanted to be my friend at all cost but you have a best friend already? You are not the faithful type right? You cheater!''
''Cheater? Woaw, hey, what do you mean by that? Cheating is used when people are dating. How can you call me that?'' Alison looked at him and sighed.
''Still, you said you wanted to be friends, it means you will put me first.'' Walden said.
Outside the entrance, Ali arrived and was about to go inside and saw Alison patting his boss' shoulder and he froze. This was definitely something he didn't expect at all.
''Lord Walden and Alison?''
What was even more shocking was the fact that his boss wasn't wearing his mask. He was showing his real face to Alison.
This was something he had never seen before. Even no one at the company knows how he looks like but he was comfortable enough to let Alison see his real face?
''I knew something was up last night when Alison tried to hide the phone from me. Turns out Walden befriended her.'' Lucia said as she stood next to Ali.
''Lady Lucia, I really don't get it! It is one thing to be nice to Alison but boss Walden showing his real face to Alison. Isn't that a little reckless and risky?''
''No! Alison knows your boss to be someone who hides under a mask. She would never expect that her friend Walden is her boss Walden Kenji. That is his perfect disguise. Even if he enters the company with this, no one would think of him as the big boss who hides behind a mask.''
''That is such a critical way of doing things. So does that mean Boss Walden is ready to work things out with Alison? Actually, Alison isn't a bad person. She portrays a lot of Lady Kaadie's traits.''
''Or maybe she might really be her reincarnated self!'' Lucia said.
''Huh? What do you mean?''
''I keep having a feeling that Alison isn't someone I really know well. I've being her friend for many years but she just keeps changing, but we will wait and see how that goes.'' Lucia said and disappeared.
Ali saw Walden coming out with Alison and immediately became alert. But he really didn't know how to act.
''Oh, Ali. What are you doing here… right, you came to pick the boss, right?'' Alison asked. She noticed Ali looking at Walden and she smiled.
''This is my new friend, Walden. He is staying at hall 3 room 3303. Walden, meet my senior at the workplace, his name is Ali.''
''Hi, Bo… Hi Walden. Nice to meet you!'' Ali stuttered as he stretched forth his hand for a handshake.
''Hi, Ali!''
''Since you are here to pick the boss, we won't keep you. We are going to hail a taxi…'' Alison said and Ali yelled.
''Taxi?'' Ali asked.
''Yes, Walden is that not right?'' Alison turned to look at Walden and he nodded.
''Yes, we are going to pick a taxi.'' Walden said and gave Ali a signal.
Ali immediately took out his phone and pretended to have received a message. He read the message out loud saying.
''Oh, the boss has left already to take care of personal business. Alison, I am not taking the boss to work anymore. How about I give you two a ride to the company?''
''No! This is the boss car. I really don't want to mess with him after he made me prepare ten cups of coffee because I said something small about him.'' Alison turned to look at Walden saying. ''Walden, let me tell you. I don't know how your boss treats you but mine is extremely petty. I don't really want to get in his bad books.'' Alison shook her head.
Walden looked at her and cocked his brows. Was he the one Alison was talking about? He smiled.
''Then, you shouldn't badmouth him, right?''
''Hey! Workers bash their bosses behind their backs for a reason. How do I put it? It's like a boaster. After bashing your boss, you get the energy to carry out whatever they tell you to do.'' Alison said and saw the strange look Walden was giving her.
''You are bashing your boss in front of him?'' Walden said internally and said to Alison. ''He is his secretary, won't he tell your boss?''
''Ali? No! I trust Ali, he is not a gossipy. Right, Ali?'' Alison asked and Ali started sweating.
