Chapter 83 - Chapter 83

Looking at the tall mountain that reaches the sky, Zephyr was impressed and admitted that he liked the grandeur of the place. Mt. Magrifyst, a place in the northern part of Astarin Kingdom but not a part of any kingdom just like the Great Jura Forest.

The reason is simple, no human or anyone is brave or stupid enough to claim the land as their territory where a dragon has designated and declared it as its territory.

For this reason, Mt. Magrifyst is considered an unreachable place for the many aside from they were afraid to incur the dragon's wrath of invading its territory, the place was also packed with high level monsters and Tier 4 entities were common in here due to a presence of an absolute dragon nearby.

[Wyrm]

Rating: ...

[...]

A huge limbless dragon like a snake but more of a dragon-like creature. Wyrms are very slim when conferring to dragons, drakes and wyverns, but they are also very long.

Looking at the flock of the same creatures that possessed billions of health and possesses a very intimidating aura. Zephyr could see with his [Emperor Eye], the uncountable wyrms that is soaring in the sky of Mount Magrifyst.

Out of curiosity, locking his gaze to a single flying wyrm, lightning began to gather in Zephyr's palm as he fired a massive [Lightning Blast] to it.

[You have dealt 700,872 damage to the target.]

[You have inflicted stun for 1.5 seconds.]

Zephyr's interest was intrigued seeing how small his damage is compared to the number of the target's health. However, what interested him more was that the wyrm acted nothing like it was just feeling a slight itch and nothing else as it doesn't turned its attention towards him.

'As expected of high leveled monsters.'

Even seeing that his skill didn't cause much damage than expected, Zephyr didn't feel dejected and depressed at all. Taking the matter of its very high defense along side with the level difference and tier, Zephyr knew that killing such monsters was currently impossible at the moment.

It's because he knew that the system would prevent him from doing so. He didn't knew what counter measures it would do but all he knew it was guaranteed that it would make his attempt to be a waste of time.

As he was usually a lazy person, Zephyr would rather log out and sleep than doing that kind of troublesome thing. Even he has his death legion that could not be destroyed by any means unless he rans out of mana which was also has a low possibility because he regenerates 50% of mana every seconds, doing damage when suffering immense suppression would be different.

With being a user of the [Sage Arts], Zephyr could feel the massive and abundant nature energy around him. With the [Emperor Eye], Zephyr could visibly see it due to it's abundance.

If Ascalor already possessed an abundant amount of nature energy, this place possessed more atleast 100 times. With this feeling, Zephyr knew that this is one of the factors why the monsters around here were high levels.

[You have received Kyuubi's Phantom.]

[You have entered stealth.]

[Movement speed will increase by 30%.]

As he decided to avoid tiring himself with fighting those monsters, Zephyr requested Tetsuya to make them enter stealth to avoid the monster's perceptions.

As Zephyr and Ericson entered stealth, they passed throughout the rough jungle, climb and leaped some rocky cliffs without being detected by several monsters that was on the same level or higher than those wyrms.

As they ventured for hours, something had caught Zephyr's interest. Looking at the certain direction, he saw an entrance of a cave.

However, Zephyr knew that it was not an ordinary cave. He could feel that the magic power around there is more plentiful and more concentrated. He could also feel something inside with his super sensitivity.

With his instinct that is screaming him to avoid it no matter what as that place has an immeasurable amount of danger, he became interested in it.

[You have discovered the hidden dungeon, 'Dragon's Labyrinth'.]

[You are the first to make this discovery.]

[You have made an achievement that is not easily accomplished. Additional karma will be provided.]

[You have acquired 100 karma.]

[You have acquired 150 additional karma.]

[All experience gained inside the dungeon will be doubled for the next 5 days.]

[The item drop rate inside the dungeon is also doubled for the next 5 days.]

[You are at the beginning of the labyrinth.]

"Dragon Labyrinth?"

Ericson couldn't help but exclaimed after seeing where they had ended up to. He then said to Zephyr what words came into his mind.

"Aren't we doomed here?"

He knew that no matter how strong they would get, facing a dragon in their current stage is impossible unless they reached the peak Tier 6.

"Yeah."

Zephyr calmly muttered as he agreed with him. He had no qualms with it as he had a vague idea of how strong the dragons were.

[You are at the beginning of the labyrinth.]

The entrance of the labyrinth was so elaborate that it seemed impossible that it was only an entrance. It was wide enough to let thousands of people in at the same time.

[The labyrinth has detected invaders and triggered a massive trap!]

Puk!

Puuoooook!

Kwa kwang!

Kwa kwa kwa kwang!

Kuaaaack!

As soon as intruders were detected, the area turned into a sea of fire and blades. However even facing it, Zephyr was calm and clearly had no intention of avoiding it at all.

Before the series of deadly traps were about to hit Zephyr, all of it stops as it was unable to reach him due to the passive effect of [Infinity Barrier].

Ericson who was coincidentally behind of Zephyr, breathed out of relief as he luckily had a shield to stop those deadly and fatal traps.

Well Zephyr had already anticipated such a trap and were calm. If it would anyone other than him, they would quickly used defensive skills to protect themselves and their teammates unlike Zephyr who remained standing without doing anything. But the problem wasn't the trap.

Gruruk!

Kyaooooh!

A large number of monsters emerged from inside the dungeon.

'Unbelievable!'

Ericson was shocked at the sight of numerous monsters. Some were Tier 3 but many belongs to Tier 4. The monsters charged to them precisely in formations, like an army. It was as if someone was directing the monsters.

Arcs of raging lightning immediately began to rushed the monsters as Zephyr fired [Lightning Bolt] and series of [Lightning Blast] without hesitation.

[You have dealt 861,826 damage to the target.]

[You have inflicted stun for 1.5 seconds.]

[You have dealt 821,000 damage to the target.]

[You have inflicted stun for 3 seconds.]

[You have dealt 782,500 damage to the target.]

[You have inflicted stun for 1.5 seconds.]

[....]

Zephyr had already expected this outcome and was not surprised by it. In the first place, fighting these monsters were not his intention as he felt it was bothersome.

Grabbing Ericson, Zephyr immediately used [Blink] while requesting Tetsuya again to make them enter stealth that was being turned off before the to the dungeon's interference.

With the [Blink] that had no cooldown time the hands of Zephyr, he managed to maneuver and escaped where the monsters are located and arrived to an unknown part of the labyrinth.

"Pant... Pant..."

"Did we lose them all."

Ericson panted and said with a grim expression as he was not feeling well at this moment. It didn't took long for him to started throwing up due to the intense motion sickness.

The reason was because he is not used to the feeling of being teleported repeatedly especially if he was being teleported for at least thousands of times. Because of that, he felt dizzy that he now had a trouble of standing up.

"I think so."

Zephyr replied with his monotone voice not caring of what was happening to Ericson at all. If not for his ability to blink around, they might found it hard to escape those numerous high leveled monsters.

However if he was by himself, he might not care as he had the [Infinity Barrier] to protect himself but with Ericson around, it would be a different story.

Looking around, Zephyr saw various marble structures and paintings that depicted the legends of the draconic species.

'What is this?'

Zephyr was intrigued and slightly surprised as he found a massive door that was atleast 20 meters tall in the corner of the dungeon. It was so thick that it seemed impossible to budge.

There were statues of humans in front of the door in a kneeling position with their eyes closed. They were so realistic that it seemed like they might come to life at any second.

Zephyr narrowed his eyes as he looked at the statue. With this, he suspected that this labyrinth is heading straight where the dragon's lair is.

Although the underneath of labyrinth is the dragon lair, it also served as a museum that showcase the glory of the dragons.

"This dungeon, it's divided into several sections?"

Ericson mumbles after recovering from his conditions. However he was right as its divided into multiple sections that had their own specific tests.

The first section alone had a very high difficulty. The number of high level mosters they saw was uncountable at first glance. They couldn't imagine how high the difficulty of the next section would be.

"As expected from a dragon lair. Just making an impenetrable labyrinth around would surely make people have a hard time entering and maybe even perished."

It was a common sense in Tensura that even the strongest transcendents would have a hard time entering a dragon lair. Yet a Tier 2 and Tier 1 mortals were attempting this ridiculous and crazy thing at this moment.

The courageous legends moved to the next section. Waiting for them were more dangerous traps and a large number of monsters.

Grrrrr!

Kieeeeek!

"T-This is crazy!"

Both Zephyr and Ericson became silent but luckily as they were in stealth, they didn't get the attention of the monsters. The number of monsters waiting in the second section was greater than the number of monsters in the first section.

However unlike from the section one, Zephyr could not sense any Tier 3 or lower as all monsters here were Tier 4 or maybe higher.

'This is ridiculous...Can this perfect combination of monsters appear in nature?'

'How high is the difficulty of this dungeon?

Several questions were inside Zephyr's mind if he really should compare the situation of this place to the common sense here in Tensura.

However there were something that stood out from the rest.

'A golem?'

Unlike the high leveled monsters that radiated an intense aura that indicates that they shouldn't be triffled with, the golem at the end of the section possesses a stronger aura than the rest.

(Hmmm. A Tier 5 Golem, a dragon's creation is really impressive.)

Hyrkan's voice was then heard in Zephyr's mind. Zephyr could also sense an intense amount of pride from it meaning that a dragon could easily create many Tier 5 Golem like this to guard the labyrinth.

'Hyrkan, is it really easy for the dragons ro create a transcendent entity?'

Zephyr tried to probe Hyrkan as he knew that as the strongest dragon, he should knew better than him about the true capabilities of the dragons.

He just didn't ask him earlier or when they were on the journey about the dragons as he felt it would make the journey boring if he won't encounter a certain hardship but at this moment, he couldn't help but ask curiously.

(Fufufukuahaha! Even creating a Tier 6 is easy much like these mere Tier 5.)

Hearing that, Zephyr now affirmed that this place, Mount Magrifyst has many transcendents residing aside from an absolute dragon.
