"Why did you suddenly change?" she asked first.
"How about you then, why did you suddenly change?" he returned her question.
"Nothing was changing when I didn't change," she answered.
"And that is what changed me Heather. Because you changed."
"I still don't understand."
He let her face go, "Yes, I myself couldn't understand at first. But after you stopped acting like her, I got my answer after leaving the country. After being on my own."
She looked at him.
"Do you know why I hated you so much?"
"Because I took your love away from you. I took your freedom about your emotions," she answered without a second thought.
"No. Because you were insulting me Heather."
She felt something prickling her heart when he spoke of it. This was something she never intended to make him feel.
"You were insulting what I felt for Susan. You acted like her as if I would fall for anyone who acts like her."
