Leah narrowed her eyes very slowly, and she took steps closer to her friend. "What the hell are you doing?"
Lucy, or had called her previously in a clear state of panic and stress, was eating a bowl full of popcorn with a huge tumbler of Coke and three bags of Doritos chips by her side.
She simply shrugged. "I was on the call when I heard him question you. The best thing I could do was bring you back here, and since I did not know his house number, that was the best possible course of action."
The tension immediately left her body. Her family was not here and Lucy was not in a state of panic.
Leah held her head in between her hands, and slowly breathed in and out.
"Oh my god," she heaved loudly before crossing over the sofa and dumping herself over it. Her legs tangled at the end, but she focused on getting her breathing right.
