"Hi," she whispered as she walked up to him. His head dipped and a little kiss was stolen from her.
"Good morning." He sighed. "Are you ready?"
Leah nodded.
Earlier today, while she was applying her favorite blush, she received a text message from him. He was waiting for her downstairs.
Never had she ever rushed her makeup routine. Maybe her blush was uneven at this point, but natural brush erupting on her cheeks because of his touch would take care of it.
"So," she tried to fill in the silence, "is this how you and I went to college before?"
"Yes, but we commuted in a car. My car." Aiden answered.
"When I was living in an apartment 30 minutes away?"
"Yes."
"Huh," she nodded. "Did we never have breakfast together?"
"No, we had lunch and dinner."
Was it just her thinking or he was answering the questions in every dry down, as if he did not really want to participate in any of this?
