Leah's phone was in her clutch that she made sure to carry around everywhere in the party. It was her father's clear instruction that the phone was supposed to be on her at all times.
The clutch remained in her hand and the other one was called around the elbow of her brother who was talking to someone.
"Hey," the man whispered to Elijah, "The Maslow's just got in." His eyes were fixated on the entrance, like he was entrance and could not look away.
Maslow? Her eyes widened immediately. It was difficult not to recognise the name after Lucy had given her an entire background history about them. Maybe, also the fact that she remembered his name.
