Leah knocked on the door, slowly, before repeating the action again, just being a little bit more firm with it.
She heard footsteps and stepped back. The door swung open and a man appeared within the easy smile.
"Leah Adams?"
"Yes." She nodded. "I-she, I mean, I am her..she?" What the fuck was correct grammar at this point? Someone had to stop her from talking.
"I am Henry Baker." He held out his hand and she took it to shake. "It's alright to be nervous. Please, come in."
He stepped away and walked inside, Leah followed behind him, closing the door softly as she did.
"Please, have a seat." he pointed to the two seater sofa set in front of a single seat one. He was going to sit there, she assumed.
She sat down and kept her handbag on the seat next to her, but kept a little bit of distance in between them.
"Now, let's start off easy but before that, I would like to know the reason why you opted for therapy."
