A hand touched her shoulder, and she jumped from her spot, whirling around in horror, only to stare at the familiar hazel eyes and the high cheekbones that drew the attention of everyone.
He raised an eyebrow, "expecting someone else?"
Leah glanced at her watch. "You are seven minutes early."
"I am an hour early." He swiftly contradicted.
She did not hide her shock. "A whole hour? Why in the world are you an hour early?"
He smiled, a rare stretch of his lips that she had witnessed. "I do not think well with threats and ultimates."
But he came. Even though he did not do well with them, as he said, he still came.
"Thank you for coming." She spoke, deciding to start with a positive note. "I suppose since you decided to come, it means that you want this relationship to continue."
The colour of his eyes changed. Maybe it was because of where they were standing, but from Hazel, they went as dark.
