Chapter 28 - One chance - II

Hello! I am back and better from fighting Covid. And the updates are back on track too!

*****

If the woman had no idea where she had come, Victoria was not going to help her out of a kidnapper's nest. At least not without her sitting next to the woman in the passenger seat .

Even though she had secured beatings, and the wound on her face that throbbed with pain, all of this was forgotten as she made her way down stairs.

This was her one chance and she was not letting it go.

The moment she reached the door, Victoria jerked it open only for it to remain where it was. They had locked the door from the outside.

Shit, she had not thought of that.

Stepping back into the living room, she looked around it just to find that one Escape route that would lead her out of here and that's when her eyes landed on the window.

It was small, small enough to think twice but she knew she would shimmy her way out of it.

In panic and impatience, she ran to the window and yanked the door of it open, just in time to see the woman nearing the door.

"Hey!" She yelled with her scratchy throat, "excuse me!"

The woman's head popped into her direction before she walked towards Victoria with a charming smile on her face.

"Hello there," she waved her fingers, "could you tell me the way out of here? Or is an adult present?"

Adult? If this lady was spotted by the adults of this house, she won't be alive for another second.

"You," Victoria gulped at an attempt to soothe her aching throat, "you need to take me with you. The adults here kidnappers and I have been here for God knows how long. Please, you have a car, you can get us out of here without any issues!"

It was then Victoria could see the recognition on her face. She took in the ones she had, especially the one that was bandaged and limited her sight to one eye.

"Oh my," She gasped, "oh my god! Come out! Hurry!" She itched towards the window, in an attempt to help Victoria who appreciated the help and flung one of her legs outside the window.

Halfway across the window, Victoria remembered something making her grimace.

Should she? Her eyes moved towards the door towards the basement. They did have the opportunity, didn't they?

But did he deserve her kindness and help? Probably not. But he also did not deserve the kind of torture that was being inflicted on him by the woman.

"Hold on," she winced and squeezed out the words, "I have a friend who needs help as well. Can you take both of us?"

The woman nodded immediately, "yes, yes. I have space in the car for the both of you."

The pain That she felt throughout her body made her almost rethink her decision, but this was her one chance. The one chance that she could not let go off.
