After the phone call with her mother, her father left and he did not return. Amelia had received a phone call from him that she was not to prepare dinner for him. So it was only her brother that she was going to dine with.
It was only her that had come to the dining table for lunch. Her father had left and her brother did not bother coming out of the room.
Leah had somewhat thought that the same would happen. Elijah would have a hard time coming out which is why, she only told Amelia to know once at his door and then leave him alone.
"I was not aware that he was coming in tonight." Amelia whispered as she set down the last dish in front of Leah. "I would have made one of his favorite items otherwise."
Leah shrugged. "He did not tell me either. Otherwise I would have told you. He is a fan of your chicken."
