Kenny swallowed and bent to pick up the book. "Babe," he dropped the book on the table that had the lamp on it.
"You are lying again," Mona gripped the pillow.
"Okay, I don't believe in a happy ending, not everyone experiences a happy ending." He turned her around causing him to lean closer to her and rub his nose with hers continuously. "There are indeed happy endings but those who sacrifice themselves didn't have a happy ending." He wiped her tears.
Mona stared into his eyes. "I want a happy ending with you," she felt there was something she should be scared of. "I don't know why I feel sad and scared of all a sudden," she lowered her eyes.
"I told you that I'll protect you so no one will mess with you." He kissed her cheek. "Even if we don't have a happy ending, the moment we spent together is already our happy ending," he kissed her forehead.
