"I'm sorry, Sly. I understand that I shouldn't have kept you waiting. It's just that I was playing with Brit when I ran into Mr Tym. As an apology, I agreed to help him with his work, together with Brit."
I felt to mention that Brit was the one who literally forced me to accept that.
"Hmm."
Sly didn't say a word. He continued towards his car, in long strides, and I was left to run after him.
"I'm saying the truth, Sly. If you think I'm lying, you can ask Brit. Shelving the books in their alphabetical took order a lot of time, that was why I didn't notice how late it was until you called."
"Hmm." He didn't say anything, he only hummed, and continued to the car as if I didn't say a word.
"Why are you even angry, Sly? It's not as if I did anything wrong. I'm sorry, okay? I will make sure to call you if something like this arises again."
Sly opened the back door, and put my backpack in there before he shut the door.
