"Wait, I need to check on what I forgot." I just can't believe I forgot something on my first day.
Stupid me!
I felt like bashing my head on the wall.
"Come. I have it here. You don't have to look for it." He motioned for me to come.
"Thank God," I zip my backpack, and walk toward him.
"I'm sorry, I forgot this. My mind was just occupied with thoughts of going to school." I stood in front of him, "what is it?" I open my palm, so he can put what it was I forgot, there.
"Come closer." He motioned for me to close the gap between us.
"Why?"
I still took a step toward him despite my words.
He pointed to his cheeks, "you forgot to give me a proper goodbye."
"What?" My eyes widened in disbelief. "You called me back, for that?" I just can't believe what my ears are hearing. Is he joking?
