"When are you returning home? You've not been home since Friday." Lee said from the other end of the call.
"I've been busy with some last-minute work. I will return when I have everything finalized." I pinch the bridge of my nose.
"Do you need help? I don't have anything to do here, I can come and help you if it works for you."
"No. I'm okay. You don't have to worry about me."
"Okay?"
He sounded reluctant. However, I can tell he's also not ready to accept my words.
"I will be home, tonight."
"Really?"
He sounded hopeful at my words. And this stood to solidify my claims that Lee can't be trusted.
How can he act this way when he kissed a stranger behind my back?
