I sat down on a cushion, while Ray and Ryn kept standing as they excitedly bounced from one foot to another.
They seemed more excited than I was.
"Daddy, I got an A in the Alphabet game!" Ray smiled. "The teacher gave me a pat on the head."
"Oh, my." I dramatically gasped, "my angel is now a big girl. Come and hug daddy."
Ray happily giggled as she hugged me.
"Mine is better, daddy. I got an A on the mathematics test! My teacher gave me a lollipop." Ryn stuck his tongue out at his sister, who wasn't bothered about it.
"Really?" I smiled. "I think I've got intelligent kids."
"Only because they share my blood. If it's yours, I doubt they will know a thing." Mother rolled her eye as she sat on the cushion opposite us.
"What did I do to you?" I frown at her.
"Why? You left me alone with these kids and went on a day's rum—"
"Okay, I'm sorry about that."
