"Stop making it sound as if I'm a whore." I grumbled under my breath as the driver drove towards my location.
"Can it be possible to pick me up from there three hours from now?" I ask the cabman.
"Of course. It's just that the charge might be more."
"How so?"
"Instead of the #500 you paid, you're going to pay #800 for that service if you want it." He says in a matter of fact voice.
"Okay. I'll be expecting you there in three hours." I relax back on the car seat, leaning on the leather, I close my eyes as I patiently counted the time until we reach the mansion.
This time, I didn't wait to put on my mask when I reach. I did so in the cab for fear someone might see my face if I so much as procrastinated until the last moment.

Sezy was already waiting for my arrival when I came down from the cab.
"You came!" He ran towards me.
"Were you hoping I won't make it?" I frown at him.
"Of course not. Why will I be outside waiting for you if I was hoping for that? "
" I don't know. " I paid the cab driver, "see you at the designated time," I remind him of the deal in case he has forgotten about it.
" I'll be here. " Nodding at me, he drove off.
"I thought you wouldn't be able to make it based on the incident of the last time." He twirled his fingers as if he were afraid of telling me what the incident is all about.
He made it seem as if the so-called incident will likely cause me to return home without much ado.
"What incident?"
"The one you had with the owner…."
"Oh, that? You don't need to worry about it. I've forgotten about that."
And I hope the creepy owner doesn't make an appearance today. I am not in the mood to entertain people like him.
Of a truth, he helped me. He stopped me from falling to the ground and getting my bones broken, but I can't forget the fact he happened to be at the scene right at that moment.
He made it seem as if he planned everything right to a T.
"Thank the Lord." Sezy sighed, "I thought that'll make you not attend the party. I saw how you acted last week, so I had a fear you might not attend today based on that. "
" To hell, I won't attend. It'll make me look cowardly. "
" Let's go in then. I am dying to have some sweet stuff. "
" Said the same guy who made it seem as if eating desserts the moment you came in is a crime."
"Of course, I was trying to act dope and all that. I would rather not give you the wrong impression on our first day together. "
" I see."
"Let's go then. " Taking my hand in his, he led me towards the gate.
He knocked, and we stood, waiting for the verification from the guards at the other side of the gate.
"Who are you? New member or old?" Asked the familiar voice of the same male whom I had a verification chat with.
"We're old members," Sezy answered. Tugging on his green suit, he made sure he placed his yellow mask well.
" Is this some sort of colour party?" I narrow to look at him. Looking at his brown shoes, I stifle a laugh in order not to piss him off.
I can't afford to lose the only friend I have in this entire place.
No scratch that.
I really can't afford to lose a friend who happened to make the totality of my friends two.
Losing him will mean I get to return to one, and that's Marli who always thinks a person is getting on the pants of another.
She did piss me off with her words most of the time, to the extent I badly want to tug my head in frustration.
The attire he had on last week is far more mature and better than this.
"This? It was some sort of dare from my friends. I didn't think more of things before I agreed to wear the colours I was dared with." He explained.
"I see."
" If you're through with your conversation, can we have your names?" The same voice asked.
" Sezy and Lys," Sezy answered.
" Wait a minute as we verify it."
" Don't tell me you've not gotten a better memory? How many times do you have to verify Sezy before you get to know my name?" He foamed in anger.
" Cool down." I touch his hand, "there's no way they can be able to cram the names of everyone who frequents this place. It's only a verification process, we'll be in there in no time."
In some ways, I am glad none of those checking for names recognized mine. This way should I stop coming to this party, my name will be forever forgotten.
To most, it's not a good thing, but to me, it's one of the best things to ever happen.
"Sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused. You can enter, your name has been verified successfully."
At his words, the gate opened to let us in. The computerized gate slowly opened until it opened up enough space to let us in.
Just like last week, the place is still the same, aside from the number of vehicles here today.
"Have a nice day, Mr Sezy. I apologize for not recognizing you." One of the gate guards spoke up.
"It can be forgotten today. " Sexy gives a wave that says he doesn't mind at all. "After all, it's not your duty to know the names of those who frequent here.".
" Have a nice time with your friend."
" Thank you." Smiling at them, I tug Sexy towards the building that's booming with music.
"Let's go party!" Rushing to the door, Sezy flung it open. "It's time to have a mad dance, and a dash for the desserts."
