He had expected that the girl would be surprised if she heard that a whole village had been wiped out, but she did not look dazed one bit.
"You knew?" He asked in surprise.
Emma was quiet for a few seconds and then she spoke, "Yes I knew."
"Then, you're saying that you lied to me?"
He asked and Emma chuckled,
"I did not lie but I did not tell you the whole truth." She said.
"What part of it was a lie and what did you not tell?" Shane pried, but the girl laughed out;
"So you would go and tell the others again? You must think that I'm stupid."
Contrary to the girl that had walked into his room and spoken so tenderly; this girl was sharp-witted, and was not shy one bit. For a second, he doubted that they were even the same person.
"You fooled me?" Shane felt stupid, to think he was feeling guilty for telling the others about her.
