Odette understood Anwen’s concern. She then said sincerely. “I don’t mind doing it. I’d be happy if I could do something for him.”
Anwen was sad, but she also felt happy to hear that Odette really cared about her brother. She hoped that the relationship between her brother and sister-in-law would return to normal soon.
“I will accompany Trish outside,” she said, giving Odette time to be with Rion.
Odette was still stroking the man’s head when Anwen walked out of the room. She then kissed his forehead after the door closed.
She stared at him for a while then kissed him again, starting from his forehead, eyes, and cheeks.
She hugged him and cried silently. Her heart hurt to see Rion’s condition deteriorate.
“Rose….”
Odette was stunned when she heard Rion mentioning Rose’s name in his sleep.
“Rose...” Rion called Rose’s name again and tears were falling from the corners of his eyes. It made Odette’s heart hurt even more, as if a knife stabbed it hardly.
