“I will never forgive him.” Odette clenched her jaws. Just from listening to Rion's story, she already hated the evil prince with all her heart.
“What about the emperor?” Rion asked her again.
“If I can, I want to kill him.” Odette really put herself in the shoes of a tricked girl in Rion’s story. She was easy to empathize with others, so it made her become like that. She easily understood the suffering felt by others.
“What... if you become the daughter of the girl? Would you hate the child of the wife who was loved by the prince?”
Odette was silent and thought for a while. “Yes,” she replied.
“Why? That child doesn’t know anything.”
“Yes, but I... am not a very naïve person. Even though I don’t want to hate that child, when I think that the child and her mother are happy over the suffering of me and my mother, I will hate her even if I don’t want to.”
