Aathreya blinked his eyes.
“That’s true,” he said. He forgot that he could read minds.
“Tsk. Day by day, I’m getting senile,” he said again, and a second later, Aathreya stood very close to one of the vampires.
His pair of eyes sparkled when he met the vampire’s eyes. The vampire froze, while the other vampires were shocked. They attacked Aathreya, but the wizard blew them away with his aura.
Aathreya dug up the information in the vampire’s memory, but he didn’t get any information about Gerald. The memories of Gerald ended twenty-seven years ago when Gerald was being burned down and turned to ashes.
He was still trying. From what he could see, the memories of the vampire remained connected, and no parts were lost or erased. If any part was erased, then he could conclude that Gerald was really still alive, and the man erased the information so as not to be found out.
