“I’m scared.”
“Scared?”
Odette smiled blankly, then looked down on her feet, remembering the image of her mother who looked sad and angry when she asked about her father.
Rion lifted Odette’s chin and made her face turn towards him. “What are you afraid of? Tell me?” he asked.
“I’m afraid of being dumped by you,” said Odette with teary eyes, looking like she was going to cry. “I was afraid you would throw me away, Rion,” she added, then started crying.
Rion quickly wiped away the flowing tears on her cheeks. “Why do you think I’m going to dump you?”
