Chapter 21 - Attacked By Two Chimeras

"Don't worry about me and go! I'll catch up with you soon, if you stay here, I can't protect you while fighting them off," Anwen said.

Odette was silent for a moment then said, "Okay."

After that, she stepped back slowly, turned around, and immediately ran, but the Chimera who was standing next to them immediately jumped to pounce on her. Fortunately, Anwen was no less fast and immediately jumped up while doing a vertical slash that split the two goat heads on the creature's back and aroused the creature's anger.

ROARR!

The chimera roared very loudly and charged straight at Anwen. The fight was unavoidable.

ROARR!

Not long after, the other Chimera roared loudly and joined the fight.

Slash!

Anwen managed to injure the head of the Chimera in front of her and immediately slammed its body to the side when she noticed another attack coming from behind. Anwen's movement made the attack hit the chimera whose head had been injured.

ROARR!

The chimera roared loudly again when its friend's sharp claws hit its face and injured one eye.

Anwen who was rolling around immediately got to her feet as her two opponents attacked again. Meanwhile, Odette who had been hiding behind a tree noticed Anwen who was currently fighting two monsters.

She didn't know that Anwen was so great but she couldn't let the younger girl fight the two monsters alone. She had to help.

She looked at the three purple balls in her hand. She knew it could help, but Anwen had to get away from the two creatures first.

She came out from behind a tree and shouted, "ANWEN STAY AWAY FROM THERE, I'LL GIVE THEM A SLEEPING BALL!"

"I CAN STILL FIGHT THEM! SAVE IT TO FACE BETTER MONSTERS!" explained Anwen as she continued to move.

Is the girl aware of the creature she is currently dealing with? It was one of the beasts that inhabited the Randle Forest and… what did she say? Better monsters? Odette couldn't even imagine a creature more ferocious than the one Anwen was facing now.

"ANWEN FOLLOW ME! I DON'T WANT YOU TO GET HURT BECAUSE OF ME!" shouted Odette, but Anwen had absolutely no intention of doing what Odette said.

The girl kept moving to dodge the attacks by the two creatures while occasionally counterattacking. Even though Anwen had said that he could face the two creatures, Odette could clearly see the superiority of the creature over Anwen.

Anwen was indeed very fast in her movements but slowly her speed began to decrease. Right now Anwen was still able to dodge every enemy attack well but that wouldn't last long. The creature's strength and stamina were above Anwen's.

Meanwhile, Rion and Trish seem to have arrived at the entrance of the Randle Forest and they meet Dan.

Rion immediately got off his horse, followed by Trish, and then approached Anwen's white horse. Rion's face looked worried. "What happened? Where's Anwen?"

Dan neighed softly as if to say something that Rion couldn't understand.

"Did she go into the forest?" Rion asked guessing and Dan gave a nod.

"Then why don't you come with them?" this time it was Trish who asked and Dan shook his head.

"Are you scared?" Trish asked again and Dan nodded.

After receiving the answer from the white horse, Rion and Trish returned to their horses but their horses reacted as Dan had given before.

The horses didn't want to leave their place and ran into the forest, even Rion's horse that had accompanied him in various wars didn't want to move from where he was standing now.

Rion and Trish finally gave up and decided to leave their horses at the entrance of Randle Forest together. After that, they started to enter the forest but they were immediately startled by a loud roar that came from within the forest. Rion was anxious at the thought of his sister.

"Come on!" he said immediately running, followed by Trish.

There was a commotion in the middle of the forbidden forest. Anwen was still fighting the two chimeras. Bloodstains can be seen adorning some parts of her clothes.

She shifted to the left, avoiding the impact of the beast's claws then spun around and gave a cross-cut through the muscle that wrapped around the creature's ribs but at the same time she was hit by a snake bite from another chimera's tail.

Instinctively, Anwen turned and cut off the snake's head but its back was hit hard by the claws of the chimera's behind.

"ANWEN!" Odette screamed when she saw Anwen fall down at the feet of one Chimera while the other chimera stood behind her.

The wound on Anwen's back was bleeding profusely making the white-purple shirt she was wearing darken from absorbing blood.

"Ah." Anwen grimaced, she felt a terrible stinging pain sting her back as she struggled to get up.

Seeing Anwen move, the two creatures instantly sprang to pounce and gave a finishing attack but before they could touch the girl they were hit on the head by a rock.

"DON'T TOUCH HER, UGLY THING!" shouted Odette with a smack on her hips while glaring and making a scary face so the two creatures thought she was cruel.

The creature turned and looked at Odette with a very sharp gaze while roaring softly. It made Odette gulp and feel like wetting her pants on the spot. But she had to be able to distract the creatures and make them move away from Anwen.

"Miss Ody..." Anwen spoke quietly.

"Don't look at me like that or I'll gouge out your eyes, break your necks and eat your hearts! I'm a ruthless psychopath!" said Odette bragging.

The two chimeras started to move and slowly walked away from Anwen.

Odette swallowed again when the two monsters began to approach her. She stepped back with trembling legs as she said, "L-let's go s-so I can crush your heads to pieces.

ROARRR!

"AAAAHH!"

The two creatures roared loudly which made Odette immediately turn around and run wildly while Anwen immediately got up, grabbed her sword, and cut the snake head from the tail of one of the creatures, making the creature turn to attack her while the others chased after Odette.

On the other hand, Rion and Trish who heard a loud roar from within the forest accelerated their run.

Rion's face was tense, he was filled with anxiety. Sometimes he felt sorry for teaching Anwen how to ride horses and how to fight, because of all that Anwen became a barbarian girl who didn't think twice about coming to a dangerous place that could threaten her life.

'You're doing well right now, right? If you're in trouble or in danger, hold on a little longer big brother will come to save you.' Rion's eyes stared intently at the one in front of him.
