Duchess Scarlet stepped slowly as she approached the palace knights who had been asked by one of the maids to wait in the living room.
When the knights saw her, they immediately stood up and greeted her politely.
“No need to be like that. Please have a seat,” she said.
“I was surprised when I heard the maid say that the palace knights came to the Scarlet residence and asked to see me,” she added after sitting down gracefully.
“We apologize for interrupting your time, Duchess,” Arlo said, and Duchess Scarlet smiled.
“No problem. I’m sure you are here to carry out an order, correct?”
