George was pursuing medicine, wanted to become a doctor and it was the finals week. For him, finals week meant D-Day. So, she could successfully be out in the open without having him find her.
Joyce had told the driver that she would be free in approximately 15 minutes, so he could come in 20. Meanwhile, she did nothing but enjoy the sun as it happened to be a sunny warm day.
"Psst,"
Joyce frowned and opened her eyes, only to look at the sketchy man standing next to her.
"Psst," he said again in a croaky voice, "you Daisy?"
"Daisy?" What the hell? People still name their children on flowers? And Daisy was the name that they had chosen out of all the flowers available in the world?
The man in front of her really did not understand the fact that she was just repeating what he said with a question in the end.
Instead, he leaned closer and touched her hand before slipping something inside it, startling her.
What the hell was going on?
