Most of the car right was silent. The moment the car stopped in front of the house, Joyce got out and stood next to Daphne inside, who had already arrived before them.
"Hi, Darling." She whispered with a secretive smile. "Pay attention to which car is being pointed out next time."
Joyce narrowed her eyes. "You knew."
"And you will learn." She booped Joyce's nose. "Try to listen carefully next time."
She was about to say something back when Adrian entered the room. Her back stiffened and she fell quiet.
Contrary to what she had thought, he would come and pass them before going to his office and stay there for the rest of the day, he came to stand right behind her addressing daphne.
"I will be having lunch at home."
"Alright." Daphne answered, her eyes twinkling at something. Her eyes remained on her son, who stood behind Joyce. He finally moved, and climbed up the stairs, making Joyce breathe in peace.
