Charles placed a thick stack of files on her table. With wide eyes, Joyce counted how many they were. It was seven in total.
They were seven thick files. Thick.
The only time she had ever seen such thick files, weather preferences that we kept in the library for her subject. People had worked on those files, but these were different stories. She had to study these!
"So, you are going to review this, then you're going to scan this and make online copies. Apart from that, I'm going to call you occasionally for drinks and snacks that I want. Get that?"
"Yes." Joyce nodded firmly. How the hell was she supposed to do that? She knew nothing about business. However, is she supposed to review them?
What did review even mean?
Charles left to his own office after that, leaving her door open which she did not exactly mind.
Seventh files, she was supposed to find mistakes in them and then she was supposed to scan them. The entire day was going to go by this.
