The chair was playing behind slightly before it turned around and Joyce panicked.
"No!" She said loudly, but he did not stop pushing her towards the lift.
The more he pushed, the more her heart called up its way to her throat. In sheer panic, Joyce placed both of her legs down and mustered up all the strength she could and resisted only for a sharp pain to shoot up her ankle and she yelped.
The wheelchair came to an abrupt halt and Adrian was in front of her. He delicately held her ankle and placed it back on the pedal.
"Highly brainless of you to do this. You knew your ankle was injured." He sent a quick glare her way before raising up. "Don't try to self sabotage yourself."
Brainless; she was at the moment. "Why? Self sabotage got me your attention really quickly. I think I should throw myself off the roof of the building because you might try to touch me then."
