The entire ride up, Joyce did not speak a word in the lift. They silently walked into his office, she waved at the receptionist on the way, and turned around to smile at Tobey before closing the door.
Joyce then turned around and stared at him with her eyes narrowed. "What was that?"
"What?" Adrian asked on his way to the sofa set in the room.
It was difficult to focus on what he said when all she could stare at was his body. He was a man, and in all her life, she had never seen someone of his built.
This man alone put every movie star she had fantasized about to Shame.
She blinked, as he sat down, getting back into the character. "You know what. I'm talking about what you just did with Charles."
"I did nothing with Charles."
She scoffed. Of course he did. "You are jealous of your own brother." She started walking closer to him. "You would have thrown hands if I was not there."
