The sound of the lock echoed in her ears as she heard the footsteps walk away. Gavin had locked the door on the instructions of the master of the house who was her husband.
It was her husband, her Adrian, who had locked her in a room.
Crossing her legs and sitting on the floor Indian style Joyce continued to stare at the door, hoping that he would come and work it out with her.
Yes, she had yelled, and she should have not done that. She practically cost him out in front of the entire house and yes, again, she should have not done that but she did, and she was ready to apologize for it.
But he had to talk it out with her. That was her main condition. However, she kept on waiting and he did not come back.
Her eyes were trained on the door, and the only time they left was to look at the clock.
