"From what I have heard, Adrian Murphy is not someone who likes to help people out of his goodwill. You have not told me what you want in return."
Finally, Joyce closed her eyes and let out a small sigh of relief. They were getting somewhere now.
"This is my first offer of help to you, which I am extending to you because of my relationship with your sister. I am not expecting anything in return." Adrian stared directly into Declan's eyes, telling the man that he meant everything he was saying.
Declan's eyes moved to Joyce, and she sat straighter subconsciously. He just looked at her. Why was her heart beating so quickly all of a sudden?
"What is your relationship with my sister?" Declan moved to Adrian. " I remember you very clearly rejecting her. So, what is the sudden interest you have in marrying,my sister? Is she pregnant?"
