"I saw your mom last night, why did she come so late at night.?" Amara asked sitting up straight from the bed. It was 9am, the sky was clear and the sun was rising up. "It's a long story, I'll tell you later." Ian said, he sighed from sadness and frustration. "You don't look too good, what happened?" Amara asked, she was really curious. "Why do you ask?" Ian asked. "I don't I guess I'm just curious." Amara said shrugging her shoulders. "Don't you know that curiosity killed a cat." Ian said. "But I'm not a cat." Amara said. "I didn't say you were a cat, it is an idiom... Which planet are you from?" Ian asked. "Not knowing idioms has nothing to do with where I am from." Amara said. "What I meant was that you shouldn't be inquisitive about other people's affairs because you may get into trouble. So in other words mind your own business." Ian said. "Ouch!.... What you ae doing isn't fair, you are supposed to tell your wife everything." Amara said. "Nah only fools believe in that, I don't because I am not a fool." Ian said. "You know it's bad to keep a secret from your spouse especially if it concerns them." Amara said. "And what if telling her will only lead to the end of your marriage?"Ian asked. "Well, you have to share that secret no matter how painful it is." Amara said. "That's just called stupidity." Ian said. "Well stupidity is doing something that you know will threaten your relationship with that person if he or she finds out." Amara said. "Well miss know it all, not everything should be shared, there is something called privacy." Ian said. "Well, lat me tell you, if you really love a person then you will think a zillion times before lying to them." Amara said. "What do you know about love." Ian said. "I know what it's like to be loved because that's exactly what my parents did, they loved me so much and the would never hide anything that would hurt me or make me question their love for me." Amara said. "I am not talking about the kind of love that you get from parents I am talking about that kind of love that you get from your boyfriend or girlfriend." He said. "It doesn't matter whether I have or not." Amara said. "Well of course I am not surprised since you only surrounded yourself with fake people." Ian said. "What do you mean?" Amara asked. "That's a topic for another day, I have to go to a meeting."Ian said getting up from the bed and he went into the bathroom to take a shower leaving the confused Amara alone. She did not understand what Ian meant by that, she wanted to know now but she knew that he would only tell her when he feels like it.
"Dad are you sure about this." Ian asked Charles, they were in one of Ian's compony buildings. They were in Ian's office. "If she wishes to start a new life without us and be a new person then I will support her because this is all my fault anyway, I started this so I will let her do what she wants because I don't want her to live a life that she doesn't want at all." Charles said. "But dad you do know once the process is over she won't have any memory of us or the times that she spent with all of us, are you sure dad?" Ian asked. "I don't have any right to make decisions for her, it is her decision so there is no point in stopping her." Charles said. "Besides I knew that this day would come, I mean like who would stick around after knowing that they had been living a lie this whole time and that their spouse was the one at fault." Charles said. "But dad, you are the reason she was brought into this world in the first place, if it weren't for your decision she wouldn't even exist, she wouldn't have experienced all the things that she experienced, it was because of you that she got to have such a great family a great life. Dad your decision brought her into this world and you can also decide to shut her down, if you feel the need to. "Ian said and Charles looked at him with shock in his eyes. Was his son really suggesting that he should shut her down, why would he say such a thing, after everything she had done for him. "Ian have you gone crazy, how could you say something like that, after everything that she had done and been through for you!?" Charles shouted. "She has no right to question your actions, women have zero rights to question husband's actions." Ian said. "Ian!! What has gotten into you, is that how I raised you." Charles said. "No, you only raised me to be weak, you only raised me to be a coward and listen to women, we are superior than them, we know better than them." Ian said. "No. They are much more than that. Your mind is corrupt." Charles said. "Well you know what... I don't have time for this, do whatever you feel is right, but I'm telling you, if I were you I shut her down for good, because it's because of you that she was even programmed in the first place." Ian said. "Is this how you treated your previous wives, and is this how you treat Sabrina too. Tell me Ian, did your previous wives leave you or did you get rid of them." Charles asked. "How I treat my wife or how I treated my previous wives has nothing to do with you, why don't you get your ass out of here and mind your own business old man." Ian said, and Charles was shocked, was this man even his son. "You know what you are right, it has nothing to do with me and my wife's decisions have nothing to do with you either, have a good day." Charles said getting up from his seat and exiting the door, he could hear Ian screaming in anger and frustration, what had gotten into this kid, did he get possessed or something, because he was not the Ian that he watched grow up, he is not the Ian that had the sweetest smile and the one that everyone loved and admired, did he change or has he always been like this. This Ian was different, Charles had never seen him nor heard him say something like this, what exactly had gotten into this kid. Maybe he was just stressed or maybe he was in a bad mood. 'maybe it's better if I come back later' he said to himself. He refused to believe that this man was his Ian, his baby boy, his kitten.
