Yan Fan might have successfully destroyed the barrier, but it was not without a price. Amon's rings of water were still heading at him when he redirected the Flame Lance at the barrier. He did his best to avoid getting hit when the rings came, but the hand holding his sword was less flexible. This was because it was the arm that was redirecting the flame lance.
A ring of water sliced through that arm and cut it clean off. Yan Fan gritted his teeth and endured the pain. He had no time to deal with it right now. He turned and bolted toward the stairs once the barrier was gone.
"Don't think you can flee…!" Amon exclaimed. He lunged forward as his two hands turned black. Amon aimed his poison claws at Yan Fan's back.
