"Are you serious?" Hu Ti asked. He didn't mind this arrangement. He was perfectly fine minding his own business. His concern arose when the Street Aristocrats were eliminated. Dao Se came to him with information that the Demon Gang was planning to become the underworld's overlord. His reason for allying with the Sewer Snakes was to prevent that from happening.
It was Dao Se who was unwilling. "Bullshit! Don't act like you have no ambition to conquer everything. Stop pretending!"
"I do, but I am not like you who charge blindly for short-term goals," Amon returned. He then told Hu Ti, "I'm always serious with my words, but you haven't answered my question about compensation."
Amon waited for their answers. Hu Ti appeared to seriously consider the offer while Dao Se gritted his teeth in anger. When Amon was about to make good on his threat earlier and started counting, a member of the demon gang rushed to his side.
