Sure Cole thought the idea of striking a tree a thousand times was stupid. I mean honestly.....it was so much worse than he had imagined. He could only go through punching ten times before he hand to hold his hand in pain.
Cole was shocked, it was not as if there was anything special about the tree. Okay maybe there was, because up against this 'tree' Cole was akin to an ordinary human being. Every time he threw a punch at the tree, it seemed to disperse all of his energy, making it hard for him to keep control over it. And without the augment from his energy, something that by this point Cole did instinctually….. he was just smashing flesh against natural wood.
