Cole took one step forward and went up into the air, climbing on it as if it was a platform, a sizzle of energy blasting off around his feet with grey and white lightning, his form blurring forwards as he pulled out Black Malakai and slashed forwards, stars birthing themselves over the edge of the blade.
The giant Voidling or Void Nestling as the train driver had called it, slashed out a tentacle edge with serrated teeth and horrific looking suckers. Dark void energy lines up and met the thin beam of light that Cole had slashed out.
*Boom!*
The Void Nestling destroyed Cole's attack like it was nothing. But the Raen Devil still had the tenacity of humanity, the sheer will and audacity to be in the face of impossible odds and use the same attack again, expecting it to make a difference and knowing that it won't.
