In all universe one thing and one thing alone stands true…humanity are always the architect of their own destruction. Even here in Te Boreas the same thing rang true for each and every single one of them here. Cole had to be honest, whether it be the guilds, or even the kingdom itself.
Te Boreas is driven by the greed of the people that ought to rule it, enough to the point that even when they try to do the right thing, for the right kind of benefit, they would sell out even their own children. In the end it was their way of life and a change so radical as what Cole was bringing, was something that scared even the king.
