Marion woke up with a body that felt crushed. Her head was throbbing in pain, especially her waist which felt like it was about to fall off. She was surprised to see Drake sitting on the side of the bed with her.
'So ... last night wasn't a dream? Drake might be ....' She had a monologue in her heart, remembering how the thick plume of smoke filled her room, then she couldn't bear to watch it as the intense horror seemed to grip her heart tightly.
Truly, seeing Drake in that form was far more terrifying than what she had seen happen to William.
"Don't be afraid, Marion. It's me. I'm sorry I didn't think you'd be that scared," he said with a sad expression on his face. Naturally, Marion did not sound frightened when she told how she had witnessed William's transformation, while when she arrived, Marion fainted as if she had seen a demon with a bloody face.
