Her life as an immortal angel was quite in her favor.
How could she not, she could come down to earth even if it was just to do her job. She also met a handsome CEO-class man, which she thought she had never experienced.
But, when she thought about it, it was all a lie. Everything she felt now was a temporary thing. Not only applied to the angels of heaven, but also humans on earth.
Now, she was faced with a portion of very luxurious food and drink, which she had not touched in a long time since she died.
She was silent and stared at the cutlery one by one while watching Leo start to touch his cutlery as well.
Even though Aleya could correctly remember how to use cutlery on earth, it still felt strange to her.
"What did you see, Aleya?" Leo scolded her.
Aleya immediately gasped and then blinked her eyes. "Errr, no. It's just ... ah, forget it," said Aleya. She also began to touch the fork and knife as usual.
Leo smiled as he chewed his food. Earlier he glanced at Aleya who was very focused on the food menu. Even Leo felt different for the first time when he met Aleya.
He looked at his two bodyguards then he nodded at them. And that was when Leo sighed.
"What are you going to do after this, Aleya?" Leo asked. He put down his fork and knife and sipped his hot drink.
"Get around."
"Just alone?"
"Just alone."
It seemed, Aleya just parroted what Leo asked. It was enough to make Leo embarrassed and excited about Aleya.
"Would you like me to accompany you on a tour?" Leo asked.
Aleya immediately raised her head and looked at Leo. She imagined driving around in the same car she had been sitting in. But she was quite annoyed that Leo had canceled the meeting with his client.
"If you didn't cancel your meeting with your client, then I would."
Leo's smile immediately faded after hearing Aleya's answer. Again he did not understand how Aleya knew that he had just canceled his meeting with his client. Even though he was quite sure that Aleya had not looked at him at all since eating earlier, or since he gave the code to his two bodyguards.
"No chance?" Leo asked as if disappointed.
"Put your priorities first, Leo. You can earn a lot of money and become a CEO because you have several meetings with clients to win a tender. And I don't want to be the one that makes you fail and fall," Aleya advised him.
Leo couldn't help but stare. He was so amazed by the girl in front of him. As far as he knew, he had never met a typical girl like Aleya.
His eyes blinked slowly, then he came to his senses.
"In essence, you refuse my invitation?" Leo asked, confirming again.
"It's one condition if you want to walk with me. I mean, around. And that condition for anything. As long as you have a prior appointment with me, then you must live your promise first."
Leo exhaled. "Okay. I'll reorganize today. Do you want to accompany me to the end?"
Aleya immediately raised her finger while moving like a head shaking. "No. I can't accompany you."
"Then how can I invite you?"
"Where's your cell phone?" asked Aleya.
Leo raised an eyebrow in surprise. But he didn't take out his phone right away.
"If you want my cell phone number," Aleya said, adding to her sentence.
Of course, Leo made the opportunity for him. He took out his cell phone and gave it to Aleya. Aleya, who had memorized her cell phone number, immediately saved her number in Leo's cell phone contacts.
"You're welcome," Aleya said before Leo said 'thank you' to her. She then continued to eat breakfast a second time, which made Leo look utterly amazed.
After having breakfast together, Leo would be ready to have a meeting with his client that he had previously canceled and had rescheduled through his bodyguard.
"Come on, I'll drop you off first," he said when they were done.
"No need. I want to walk to enjoy the air here. You can go first," said Aleya.
"I can't let a girl walk alone, Aleya."
"Well, maybe you can. I'm one of those people who doesn't require her friends to pick me up. So, go. And don't pick me up if you want to meet me later. Let me go to where you are," explained Aleya at length.
Leo felt really strange hearing some of the words that Aleya said. The girl he had just met didn't want to be treated like a queen. Moreover, she was really firm when she asked Leo not to do this and that.
Finally, Leo obeyed what Aleya said. Because he had studied enough of Aleya's character, who seemed so stubborn about her stance.
They parted in the parking lot. Aleya let Leo leave her first because she didn't want Leo to follow her.
"Ah... finally! Why does he look so enthusiastic when he sees a stranger wanting to be his friend? He should at least keep his distance first, or at least be suspicious of something!" Alya said to herself.
"Well, well, well ... you did quite well, Aleya." Suddenly Ivoria's voice appeared behind her. And Aleya immediately turned to look at her.
"If you see me, I don't have to report anything, do I?"
But Ivoria shook her head. "Still you have to report your whole story. I only saw part of it, you know."
"Can't you rely on your angelic powers to see things unseen?"
"Aleya ... you better do what The Father wants from His angel. Well, I'm just doing my job. And you're doing His job too. So, submit your report in writing."
Alya sighed. "Come to think of it, Ivoria ... The Father must have seen what His children did, right?"
Ivory nodded. "But, He needs your efforts when you expect something from Him. As a small example, if you want to go back Home, then there are things you must do. If your value in His eyes is to look good, then you have to do what He tells you to do."
