Chapter 83 - The Reveal (7) - 81

//What can I do?

//Yeah, what can you do?

//I can make you climax in less than a second.

"..."

//Alright, alright, but, I can seriously do that, you know?

"..."

//Okayyyy, on to the good stuff, basically, if, theoretically, you were to give me full control of your body, you would become a perfect human in all aspects.

I could practically hear the nonexistent "but..." after her sentence.

//What's the catch?

//My speed, I'm pretty slow right now, at about your level.

Hearing this, many would think that it was a pretty mediocre power, but, they would be wrong, because I was a magician after all, and the speeds at which my body moved, well, they were far past that of a superhuman's, not to mention a regular person's speeds.

//So, would you be able to beat Ms. Krenshaw right now if I gave you control of my body?

//There would be a 10% chance of winning, with a 5% margin or error due to other influencing factors.

//What?!!!

//Yeah, I'm just that good.

Now, you guys might be thinking that 10% was just an extremely small number, but it was extremely high, considering that I, a (D+) ranked superhuman, was able to have a one in ten chance of beating Ms. Krenshaw, a (S) ranked superhuman, it was unfathomable.

//So, what's the best way for me to use you?

//By giving me full...

//No. Why the hell would I ever give you my body?

//C'mon, let me finish, I was about to ask for full control of your second mind.

"..."

I was a little shocked actually, as this idea had never occurred to me.

After all, it was the perfect solution to everything, as I only used the second mind to do menial work, and she could do all my menial work in a much faster time than I could myself.

With this, she was also able to train her abilities at all times, instead of only being able to use the full extent of her abilities whenever I really needed help fighting to the point that I would give her full control of my body.

So, with that line of reasoning, I agreed.

//Sure, go take over my second mind.

//I knew you would make the correct decision.

//You sound like one of those debtors in books that just made the MC, through forceful means, sign an agreement that says that MC was gonna take a loan for more money and more interest to pay his loan of less money and less interest.

//But I'm not doing anything bad to you.

//Let's see.

That was my final reply before I threw her into my other mind.

Then, I let my other mind deal with her, as it slowly gave her control over it.

As for me, I was thinking about how, even if Bella had been one of us four, she was now privy to a lot more information, and I didn't know if I could trust her fully or not.

After all, who wouldn't hate the person that killed their supposed lover?

Or the person that destroyed your world?

Or the person who manipulated you into his schemes, as you danced on the tip of his hands.

Yeah... that definitely wasn't me...

//It was you.

//How'd you get back into this mind?!!

//I can access both minds, you know? What you've just done, is that you've just given me the ability to control your body seamlessly whenever you need to multitask. And also, this "System" thing strictly warned me from disobeying you, so...

//Hmm... it truly did?

//Yes.

//And how do I know you're not lying?

//Because I'm giving you my word on it.

"..."

//Whatever, I don't care, but decide if you'll trust me or not right now, or I'll just sit in a corner of your mind, making fun of you for the rest of eternity whilst messing you up during battles.

I could actually hear the true threat hidden there in her fiery words, and I knew that something was off.

//Fine. I'll take your word for it, it's not like I can do anything about it if you decide to betray me. But, just wondering, are you mad?

//Mad about what?

//Don't act like you don't know.

//Okay, I'm mad goddamnit! Why did you have to destroy my home?

"..."

I mean, did I really need to answer? The answer was clearly there in my memories.

"..."

//Why did you need to manipulate me?

Noticing the pause before she asked the question, I realized that this was the real question that she wanted to ask me, and our cooperation would likely be dependent on how I answered this question.

And the wording of that question too... "need".

Also, notice that she never asked about the actual MC of the novel :)

//Why did I need to manipulate you?

"..."

I decided to take the rough, uncut approach.

//You know it the best don't you? You're a fucking asset, I needed you on my wall of trophies.

But then, the voice in my mind softened out.

//You're kind, you're smart, you're polite, you don't take losses, and you're a ruler.

"..."

//Do I really need to say it out loud?

//Why not? You're thinking it, and I want to hear it.

"..."

//Alright! I'm a simp, and I simped for you!

I yelled at the loudest volume the voice in my mind could muster.

But, it was all true. I had simped for her, when I read the book, when I was first there, and the second time I was there with Ms. Krenshaw and Arwyn.

She was just a really, really well made character with a lot of dimensions to her. Whoever the author was, I was really grateful to them, as I was able to become her friend, and that was probably one of the best things that ever happened to me, no, it was the best thing that ever happened to me during my second run through of The General Games.

//Awwwwww, Is that a confession I hear?

She asked, teasingly.

//No, I said I simped for you, but you're not the one I truly love. You already know this too.

//You're breaking young girls' hearts. You're a player, you know that?

//Yeah, but at least I'll keep my promises.

Everything became silent after that, as she processed what I had said.

Again, she was the one that brightened up my world, and, in choosing her as my reward, I had admitted to caring for her.

To hear her voice once again, it was a blessing.

And so, I had made a promise back then, when we had finally left the world of The General Games.

I wouldn't be reneging on that promise anytime soon.
