Chapter 1 - Prologue.

"Kayla." Jason called as if his life depended on it, because it did. If he didn't have any water in ten minutes, he was sure that he was going to die. Okay maybe, he was exaggerating but still. His throat was as dry as dust and as sore as anything.

"Yes." Kayla answered walking towards him in the small hall of their simply styled but lovely cottage. He stared at his five foot tall, black haired, brown eyed sister. Even though that they were poor, many men came for her hand in marriage. He declined them all. He just wants to keep her safe. If the people found out that what his sister was, he didn't even want to think about the consequences.

"Please can you get some water?" Jason asked.

"We are all out of water." Kayla replied.

"Could you go out side and get it instead?" Jason asked. He could tell that she hesitated but she finally agreed. Well it was weird that he wanted water at this ungodly hour.

Sighing, Kayla went outside with her small wooden bucket to get some water. She had a strange feeling. Even though everything seemed normal, something was wrong. She looked up at the moon that emitted a soft glow. And the trees moving with the wind.

She felt more powerful than before. She walked towards the stone well that she would often threw coins into, to make a wish. She would always save up all she had just to make a wish. The closer she got to the well, the more powerful she felt. Okay, she was certain that something was either inside the well or beside it. Being fearless, she walked towards it and when she finally got there, a gasp escaped her lips right before she saw a pair of closed eyes shoot open to reveal the most mesmerizing emerald green eyes that Kayla had ever seen. Then the eyes landed on her.

She left the bucket only for it to collide with the dead rustling leaves on the ground and without thinking, she conjured a fire ball and threw it at the woman but surprisingly, the woman caught it, looked at the fire ball and then at Kayla. Her green eyes suddenly turned to dark red. She had just provoked a beast. Kayla thought to herself.

  ★★★

A gasp had woken her up from her sleep beside the well. She thought that the people that lived in the cottage would be in deep slumber by now. She shoot her eyes open and looked at the cute brown eyed girl staring at her curiously. She was sleeping with her back on the well.

What surprised her the most, was when the girl conjured a fire ball and threw it at her. She caught it, it turned white and got angry. Wait she caught it? What's going on? She doesn't remember anything before she woke up in a dry desert only to walk to the well and catch a fire ball. Her anger subsided immediately.

"Everflame." She heard the girl mutter under her breath.

"What are you?" The girl asked. She chuckled.

"You know I haven't the slightest clue what I am. What's your name?" She asked.

  "Kayla." She replied.

  "What's yours?" Kayla asked.

"I don't know." She replied and frowned.

"It's alright. We'll just call you Klara." Kayla said and smiled trying to cheer her up.

"We?" Klara asked raising a brow up.

"Yes. Me and my brother." And almost immediately, a tall black haired, brown eyed boy came outside and began walking towards them.

When he got close enough, his jaw dropped. The person sitting down on the ground was perfection.

She had big green eyes, long... Very long black hair. Infact, the hair was as tall as her. Her lips, as red as a rose and her skin as fair as ever. She was beautiful.

"You done staring?" She asked standing up to reveal her height. They were the same height. She wasn't wearing anything revealing but one could still see her curves. She giggled.

"Hello." She said waving and smiling at the same time. Jason finally snapped out of his trance just to discover that he had drooled a little. He blushed akwardly and finally extended his hand for a hand shake. She stared at his hand and shook her head.

Jason took his hand back. He looked at Kayla.

"Now what's going on." They told him everything.

"Well you are welcome to stay with us." Jason offered.

  "No worries." Klara replied.

"But you have no where to stay." Kayla reasoned.

  "Actually..."

"...if you did, you wouldn't be sleeping beside a well." Kayla interjected.

"Come inside." Kayle gestured after she finally got the water from the well. As Klara was about to follow them when she tripped on her hair and luckily, Jason caught her waist and Klara started seeing his memories. That was exactly why she didn't want to give him that hand shake. Sometimes, when she comes in contact with people, she seems to see their memories.

She stood erect a second later and smiled.

"Thanks. You still thirsty?" She asked.

"Yes." Jason replied. Wait how did she know that he was thirsty. Well if she could catch fire, then he assumed that she should know that he was thirsty.

When they finally got inside the house, Klara was amazed.

Was the house big? Oh no
