Mei Lin looked at her eldest daughter, feeling weary and tired in her heart. She didn't know how to persuade her, how to handle her. Her eldest daughter was dead set on putting their family's name in shame.
There was only one person who could handle her daughter and that was her husband. Knowing that Chen Ziyue was going to do something at the wedding, she decided to inform her husband. She turned to leave the room when her eyes fell on her youngest daughter.
"Yuxi, my child, " she spoke in a low voice. "I'll be right back but until then can you keep a watch over your elder sister for me?"
Chen Yuxi looked at her with confusion. "What do you mean, Mom?"
"Don't let your elder sister leave the room till I come back with your father," she instructed.
"Okay." Chen Yuxi agreed.
