Mei Lin's heart ached when she saw the tears in her daughter's eyes. She knew her daughter as a strong-willed, firm woman. Chen Ziyue would argue, fight, and yell, but she was never the one to cry in front of others. She didn't like to show her weak side to others, especially her father.
