Arabella's POV
I could see the shock on Tyler's face when I told him I wanted to visit Emily's grave. I didn't want to get married to him without talking to his ex, even if she was dead, and I knew Emily was watching over her daughter.
"Are you sure about that, Ara?" he asked with hesitation on his face.
"Yes, I am very sure. Whatever happens, Emily will always be the biological mother of Anika, and I could never take her place, Ty." I said, and he gently squeezed my hand as he nodded his head.
He guided me towards Emily's tombstone, and I could feel the morning breeze tickling my skin. I could see the calm water of the ocean from where we were.
I laid the bouquet on the grass beside her epitaph. I could see ferns on the side of her grave. The place was quiet since it was still early in the morning.
